Basket Weaving Classes

Service Description

Join us for one of our relaxing and creative Basket Weaving Workshops, usually held once per month. Please check Facebook events as well as this website for the most up to date information on public instructional offerings. Perfect for beginner weavers, this guided workshop will walk you step-by-step through creating a handcrafted basket to take home or will provide you with the tools to create your own weaving materials. Spend the afternoon evening unwinding, connecting with others, and discovering the joy of working with a variety of different fibers and materials in our warm and welcoming studio. Weaving is a very rhythmic form of art. If you fancy knitting, crocheting, and braiding, you will find weaving to be just as therapeutic. They also go hand-in-hand with one another. In this class, you'll learn the beautiful art of traditional Native American Pine needle basket weaving, reed basket weaving, willow basketry, cotton and rope coiling, twining, foraging, and more as we rotate different skills throughout the year. The specific type of weaving class offered will be listed in our Facebook event. Please make sure when you are booking, you are booking the correct date of the class you desire. If you do not see the date, please select "Next Available date." The next date the class is held will appear. All classes offered at Tea + Pottery are limited to only 12 guests per class to ensure that each and every person in attendance gets the needed assistance from instructors. We have found that any more than 12 creates a stressful environment rather than a relaxing environment.
